Credit Cards with Rewards Schemes
Have a look at our recommended Rewards
Credit Cards
Credit cards with rewards schemes tend to have higher interest
rates and fees. So they are of most benefit if you pay off
your balance in full within the interest-free period, and
use your card a lot.
If you carry over a significant balance on your account
from month to month, you will probably lose more in interest
charges than you gain from the rewards earned. You’d
do better to switch to a 'no frills' card with a lower interest
rate.
When looking at credit card rewards services and schemes,
you should check:
* if you will use your card enough to qualify for the rewards
* if you will have to make unnecessary purchases to earn the
rewards
* if you will be discouraged from shopping around for the
best priced goods and services
* if you will have to redeem rewards points within a certain
time
Not all rewards cards are expensive, however. For instance
there are Frequent Flyer Credit Cards with no annual fee,
such as the NAB Velocity Card.

cards, with their features and benefits.
