Low and 0% Balance Transfer Credit Card Offers

What to Be Aware of with Low Balance Transfers

Have a look at our recommended Balance Transfer Credit Card Offers

Have you ever been sent one of those letters from a credit card company promising you 0% interest on balance transfers over to their card? Well now that customers are taking full advantage of the 0% deals and moving on swiftly to the next card, a number of providers have taken to charging up to 2.75% per transaction.

Another thing to be wary of - some card providers treat your transferred balance as a cash advance, and interest is charged immediately. Others offer low interest rates for the transferred balance but only for a limited time - usually 6 months. The remaining balance after that time will be charged at the card's normal interest rate.

However, if you do transfer a debt over to a card with a low 'honeymoon' rate, you can make some substantial savings. You can also earn yourself some good credit card rewards if you move to credit cards with zero percent balance transfers.

Below is our list of recommended credit cards with 0% balance transfer offers or low balance transfers in Australia.
